Lesser Known Classic Rock Sundays: Peter Frampton – “Show Me the Way”

Peter Frampton’s story is an interesting one.  He was in a few bands, went solo, and only came to fame after releasing an incredible live album, Frampton Comes Alive!, in 1976.  He never quite lived up to those expectations again, but his career has continued to this day.  Along with “Baby, I Love Your Way,” this song ranks among his best.  It might not be too lesser known, but it’s such a well written tune that I wanted to share it.  Plus it has that awesome talking guitar effect, and that makes it well worth posting.  Enjoy!

The entire “Frampton Comes Alive” album is excellent. Besides the two songs that you identify, “Do You Feel Like We Do” was a radio hit. Hi follow-up (studio) album was more “poppy” and contained the hit “I’m In You,” a prototypical late 70’s rock ballad. Rock on.
