Damien Rice – “Dogs”

Damien Rice writes absolutely gorgeous contemporary adult alternative folk (aka typical singer-songwriter fare).  I remember being obsessed with him for a few months during my sophomore year of college, and every so often I go back and fall head over heels again.

While the video for “9 Crimes” still chokes me up, this song just floats by and intends only to please.  It could fit on any Jack Johnson album, and I mean that in a good way.  I freaking love JJ, and I really enjoy Mr. Rice’s unintentional foray into his style.  Enjoy!

  1. Love this post. I am obsessed with Damien Rice and 9 Crimes is one of my favorites as well. At first read I thought there was no way a DR song would sound like it could fit on a Jack Johnson album, but I can totally see it.
